The next meeting is on Saturday, May 17, at 9 A.M., at at the Galveston Country Club. PROGRAM: State Senator Kyle Janek will be our guest speaker. This will be one of the last speeches Senator Janek will give as a Senator, since he is leaving office effective June 1. Senator Janek has served the west end of Galveston Island well for the past 6 years and we plan to recognize his efforts and accomplishments with a token of appreciation from the WGIPOA. Kyle Janek has served as a State Senator for Senate District 17, which includes West Galveston Island, since November, 2002. Prior to this position, Mr. Janek served for eight years in the House of Representatives. The senator was instrumental in the 2007 passage of the high school steroids tests bill. Please come join us to hear and pay a fine tribute to a great Senator. Come joins us for breakfast burritos before the meeting.
