MEETING:  The next meeting will be on Saturday, May18, 2013, beginning at 8:30 AM for breakfast burritos and coffee and 9:00 AM for the meeting at the Moody Gardens Hotel.

Please note we are at the Moody Gardens Hotel in the Vine Room (first floor) for this meeting.

Program: Our guest speaker will be Karla Klay, Executive Directors of Artist Boat.  The mission statement of Artist Boat is to promote awareness and preservation of coastal margins and marine environment through the disciplines of the sciences and arts.  Artist Boat was incorporated in 2003 as a 501©(3) nonprofit and so far over 70,000 participants have engaged in their unique Eco-Art Programs including the famous kayak tours and dune plantings.

Come hear about the new “Coastal Heritage Preserve” that Artist Boat is establishing as a conservation area of approximately 364 acres of land on West Galveston Island adjacent to West Bay.

This is a great organization and one you will want to learn more about so please invite your neighbors and friends and come for breakfast burritos at 8:30 AM.
