MINUTES:  The minutes of the last WGIPOA meeting on April 17, 2021, are on our website.

MEETING:  We are back!  The West Galveston Island Property Owners Association Board of Directors voted unanimously to announce that the May 15 meeting will be in person at the Galveston Country Club.  To celebrate our return, we will have a full breakfast beginning at 8:30 AM with the meeting commencing at 9:00 AM.  Masks are not required but we suggest wearing them. The Country Club will also assist with parking.

An agenda will be forthcoming so please come hungry!!

PROGRAM:   We  are pleased to have Weston Ray from the law firm of  Daughtry & Farine to review new regulations, laws, and codes that may or may not have passed with the current Texas Legislative. Daughtry & Farine are the premier law firm representing many property owner associations.  Daughtry & Farine have made previous presentations to the west end during Texas Legislative sessions. So this is a must attend meeting for west end property owner associations to learn about new laws that could affect operations.

In addition, City Council Member, Marie Robb, will give an update on District 6 happenings.

Also, we are very pleased to have Rodger Rees, Port of Galveston Chief Executive Officer, to bring us up to date on the port activities as well as the cruise industry.

So once again, we are back at the Galveston Country Club with real live in person meetings starting May 15! Hope to see you there.
