MEETING:  The next meeting for the West Galveston Island Property Owners Association will be July 17 at the Galveston Country Club, 14228 Stewart Road, with breakfast burritos starting at 8:30 AM and the meeting starting at 9:00 AM.

• Marie Robb City Council Member, District 6 happenings.
• Officer Edward Coronado – Galveston Police report for west end
• Galveston Coastal Resources – beachfront red tag and code violations on the west end – postponed until 8/21 WGIPOA meeting.
• Michael LeBlanc – Director Sea Star Base – A high-adventure marine and maritime destination offering many aquatic education programs.
• Hans Hagland – Superintendent of Galveston Island Sate Park to give an update of the beachside construction

NOTE:  The Galveston Country Club will provide parking assistance.

Upcoming Events:

Americana at its Best: Every Tuesday until August 3rd, from 7 to 9pm, the Galveston Beach Band will perform a free family-friendly concert opposite Rosenberg Library, 2310 Sealy St., Downtown Galveston.  This will be the 92nd year for the 24 member band and a favorite for all ages.

Ongoing:  Join the American Shore & Beach Preservation Association (ASBPA) and automatically become a member of the Texas Chapter.  See www.asbpa.org and www.texasasbpa.org for details.
