WGIPOA MEETING 3/19/22

MEETING:  The next WGIPOA meeting will be an in person meeting on March 19 at the Galveston Country Club with a full breakfast starting at 8:30 AM and the meeting beginning at 9:00 AM.  This will also be our annual meeting with the election of directors and officers.  As a matter of information, this will be our 23rd year as an organization and we thank all of our members for their support over the years.

We are pleased to have Weston Ray from the Daughtry & Farine law firm to bring us up to date on the recent changes In property owner association regulations.  This is a must attend for property owner associations.  In addition we will hear from the WGIPOA real estate corporate sponsors on real estate happenings for the west end.  This will include Sand N’ Sea, ReMax Leading Edge and Better Homes & Garden/Gary Greene.  We will have other presenters like District 6 Happenings from City Council Member Marie Robb.  An agenda will be forthcoming.

In addition we are setting up a food drive for the Galveston County Food Bank (GCFB) and we are requesting attendees to please bring a few items for donation. We will have a donation table and the GCFB will be onsite to collect the donated items.  WGIPOA Board Member Craig Vance will coordinate the effort and the items accepted are:

  • Canned Foods: tomatoes, sauce, meat, tuna, soup, fruit, veggies, peanut butter, jelly
  • Meal-in-a-can: chili, stew, ravioli
  • Meal-in-a-box: burger/tuna helper, mac-n-cheese, etc
  • Packaged: pasta, cereal, oatmeal, pancake mix, rice, beans
  • Hygiene: shampoo, toilet paper, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, etc.
  • Thank you for your support and hope to see you at the March 19 meeting.
